Learn how to turn off your airbag light and fix a horn that doesn't work by replacing your clock spring. Replacing a clock spring is very simple, saves us over $600 and takes less than an hour. I will show you how to safely remove the airbag and steering wheel so you can replace the clockspring at home using common hand tools. To figure out I had a bad clock spring, I used an obd2 scanner to scan the airbag light and got codes b1801 and b1811 which is an open squib circuit, which means the clock spring is bad. Another way to tell the clock spring is bad is the horn doesn't work and/or the steering wheel buttons don't work. Ever wonder what grade gasoline should you use in your car (what octane)? Are you paying for premium gas when you can just use regular? Are you using regular and damaging your engine? This video will bust all of the myths and tell you the FACTS on what fuel you should use and why. Many people throw money away and fill their car with the incorrect fuel every day. Running premium or midgrade in a car designed to run regular is a waste of money and has no HP or MPG benefits. You will not make more power or get better fuel economy running premium fuel if the car manufacturer tunes the car to use regular gas in most cases. I also see some people run regular gas in cars that need premium and the knock sensors have to adjust timing significantly to prevent damaging engine knock. I also hear a lot of people say that premium gasoline has more energy or burns cooler or slower so I will put a rest to all of these "myths" with facts. Brake pad replacement? Ever wonder how to make brake pads? Usually I show you a DIY like how to replace brake pads, but in this video I show you how brake pads are made! Brake pads from this factory: www.NRSbrakes.com/nrs-chrisfix/ To make brake pads, we start out with raw pickled and oiled steel. The steel gets stamped into a brake pad backing plate which gets analyzed to make sure it meets OEM specifications. Next the brake pad backing plate goes to the NRS press to get a mechanical attachment. Then the backing plates get galvanized and finally brake pad friction material is added. The manufacturer can add and friction material they want such as semi-metallic, organic, or ceramic friction material. Lastly the shim is made and installed on the brake pad and they can be sent to testing! When it is all said and done, I took the brake pads we made and installed them on my truck with new brake rotors! The company that let me film in their factory is giving all of my fans 20% off their brakes using the code "20off" at checkout. I do not make any money from this! They are doing this to get you guys to try out their new technology brake pads and I will always share a discount to help my subscribers. I show why is it important to not only fill your tires up to the correct pressure but also use the CORRECT AIR! Learn how to replace winter air, with summer air! Most people know when filling your car or truck tries that you need to fill it to the correct air pressure. What people dont know, is the air that goes into the tires is just as important. Winter air is cold, dry, and dense, therefore heavy while summer air is warm, humid, and light. Running winter air in the summer will cause lower tire pressure and decreased fuel economy (mpg). Running summer tire in the winter, will cause loss of traction and over inflated tires which could lead to a blow out! Learn how to replace a clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, throw out bearing (aka release bearing), pilot bearing and rear main seal in this video! My clutch was fine but my throwout bearing was bad so I decided to show how to replace all of the wear items while the transmission was off. This includes replacing the pilot bearing which the transmission input shaft goes into, the throwout bearing which engages the pressure plate via the clutch fork, the flywheel which I upgraded to an aluminum light weight flywheel, and finally the rear main seal because that is a common wear item which causes oil leaks in higher mileage motors. With the transmission out, it is worth it to replace all of these parts now instead of having to do this all over again. Most clutch kits come with the throwout bearing and pilot bearing so you just need to buy a rear main seal. Really looking forward to the next video. My wife's car has this weird sticky substance on the dash -- I think someone was trying to clean something and used a product that wasn't meant for it. It's sticky and shiny so in the sun it reflects off the windshield and makes it harder to see. I really hope you've got some magic to help fix that, cause it's a safety issue.
