Ofcourse there is no bad or good food, but eating food high in sugar or carbs will trigger you to eat more of that stuff. Talk about carb addiction and not about good or bad. Mental health should not be used as an excuse to overfeed yourself. What if you need to loose some weight, then you need to get rid of the burger unfortunately.

I think that if you are a binge eater or you eat a lot of junk food, start by saying no and make that a habit. Once your system is clean and you're no longer addicted, you can treat yourself once in a while.

i came to this video after being irked that steak was featured oh your recent "healthy eating" video. sure no food is fully "good" or "bad" but there is clear scientific evidence showing links between meat and cancer and heart disease, and that plant based diets have reversed cancer. i understand that we should have a more psychologically healthy relationship with food but that doesn't mean ignoring that there are indeed some objective facts about the foods we eat.

Okay, I think this video is thinking about this right, but missing a huge thing, just making your food right. Burgers from McDonalds is unhealthy, but that's because it's too many calories, and not filling you enough with all those calories. Why not just make a healthy burger at home? Use an organic bun, use organic and/or grass fed beef, use months aged cheese, etc. You can do whatever you want. Leave out the cheese, make the beef fattier, but no mayo, make the beef leaner, but no or more mayo. Whatever you want to fit your daily Marcos, and not just burgers, this works with every food you eat. Use less oil, no oil, oven bake your fried organic chicken, use butter or olive oil instead of hydrogenated oils, use pasture raised eggs in you breakfast sandwich, etc. So much can be done to lower calories, increase nutrition, avoid processed meat, etc, and I think we're not focusing on this fact enough.

Going a little further here, It's important to understand that food is morality in the sense that it has meaning and consequences - once you shift the conversation towards environmental awareness, the origin of the pieces we eat is very important. The end conclusion with my comment is, Veganism or Plant Base BUT I do agree that we can indulge ourselves in eating outside of that diet - moderation is the key but awareness is important too.

@Samu Puuronen I didn't say that eating animals is better than eating plants or that plants can feel pain. So you don't need to counter argue these notions. However, some animals live in wonderful farms don't suffer before they are eaten. Weither that is okay or not is up to your personal beliefs. An archetype is the an abortion argument: if organs don't feel pain, is it okay to get rid of it? However, a better question is: should you even answer the question above? But if you choose to answer and eat plants. It's okay since prevention is um... very difficult. I mean getting people to stop eatting meat is at least kind of possible, but it's in need of regulation and deception. [It's the imposter!]

We have to eat something to um... not die and that means that some animals might suffer and some plants might die and some environments might not survive. But perhaps, in the future, we have learned how to harvest sunlight to feed us directly, kind of like nature and plants, that way, we won't have to eat and kill anything UwU.

Tbh, I don’t like the fact that people have a ‘cheat day’ or 80% healthy and 20% not. Healthy food doesn’t mean bland and boring. Like my favorite for breakfast is healthy fluffy pancakes or crepes, made with oats, eggs, almond milk, erythritol. And if it’s a crepe I eat it with homemade Nutella made with hazelnuts, coco powder, and erythritol, and I’m not joking when I say it’s better than regular pancakes. For lunch my favorite is a sardine tostada. The tostada is made with quinoa, water a spices and it tastes so good, and then I add guacamole, wild sardines in olive oil, and pico de Gallo ( or however you spell it ). My favorite for dinner, is either chana masala, which is chickpeas, chicken, tomato sauce and like 10 spices, with cauliflower rice which is insane. Or Shirataki noodles (never made them but they seem good).

Firsly milk dosen't acually give calcieum to you it leaches it, milk causes Prostate cancer,milk causes Acne, A single serving of milk can contain as much as 24 mg of heart-harming cholesterol,A Swedish study showed that women who consumed four or more servings of dairy “products” each day were twice as likely to develop serous ovarian cancer,Cows are often pumped full of antibiotics to keep them alive and producing milk in filthy factory farm conditions. We can thank this rampant overuse of them for the surge in antibiotic-resistant bacteria. When humans are infected by these superbugs, antibiotics at best have decreased effectiveness and at worst are powerless,A single serving of whole milk can contain more than 20 percent of the recommended daily allowance of saturated fat. being able to eat a doughnut and resist another one is not only a psychological issue but also a physiological one, because binge eaters have their metabolism in ruins and their body creates physical cravings that might be impossible to resist for mind. But I 100% agree with that it is very much psychological issue when we try to shame ourselves for going off track. What was helpful for me is that every treat I considered not a cheat meal but an exercise for my body on how to correctly process various foods and restore metabolism so that a single candy does not cause a meltdown where binge eating begins. Still a healthy diet 95% of the times is of paramount importance, but 5% of generally unhealthy foods is not the end of the world if you consider it not a slip up but an exercise or an experiment.

This is 100% true. What I do though, is if I have a 'junk meal' (say I have pizza for lunch) I have a healthy snack for pudding. If I have a healthy meal, sometimes I will reward myself with a biscuit or something for dessert. It's about getting that balance.

As someone who has disordered eating, Eating less than 100 cals and walking for 40 min the whole week, then binging on sunday, I figure it'd be hard to get into healthy eating habits without gaining all the weight I've lost. honestly i just think people associate low-calorie with healthy and high-calorie with unhealthy, although that’s not a good way to determine whether or not a certain food is good for you. for example just because soda has less calories than milk doesn’t mean it’s better for you. and although red meat is considered very unhealthy by most, its actually really good for you, as long as you don’t eat too much. eating healthy shouldn’t be a problem as long as you don’t stick to all these common stereotypes and beliefs.
