Loved this video concept and execution from Will! Super entertaining and a great knife. Anyone got any tips for him on the Chilli though? :D

Add corn and less than a teaspoon of brown sugar per batch to help with the acidity of the tomatoes. Helps those with heartburn problems.

I missed this 4 days ago, but man, that was cool. Great production, Will. As for making chilli? Well, I'm 56 and have been making different styles of chilli for near 40 years of that. From my experience, people learn the basics of a chilli stew and modify and expand that to suit their individual tastes. That's the beauty of chilli stew. It becomes your own but will still be a proper chilli. I like to make mine with a lot of minced beef and pieces that I dice from a piece of Chuck steak. Plus all the other good stuff and my spice preferences. Next episode, Alec making a long 'Pig Sticker' versus a whole spit roast pig. You may have to make a spit roaster from a split 44 gallon drum and a power source from a windscreen wiper motor and some clever gearing.

Just wanted to throw an idea of a video out there for you both. I have been in the Army for 19 years and the one thing you see in the Army, everyone has a knife. The problem is that everyone has a different opinion about what the perfect knife is to carry. Most people have folders, OTF’s, or fixed blades but no one agrees about what’s the best. I will say that I am partial to a fixed blade with a molded sheath. Some carry in their pocket, some with a clip, some without, and some wear them on their belts. I think it would be cool if you guys actually competed to build what you think would be the best knife for military personnel. Just an idea! I have seen thousands of Soldiers with knives and know hundreds personally that carry them. Interested to hear your thoughts, or you can point me to a video if this is something you have already done. Thanks.
Still one of my absolute favorites videos you guys made :D

i'm curious as to what kind of blower you use for your monster forge... also why do you light it in a fashion that risks your eyebrows? i always turn my blower on, open propane tank valve, light torch and place at corner of forge door, open ball valve, then turn regulator up slowly til i the "hiss" comes and whoosh it lights at lowest gas output and doesn't act like a stargate portal opening. then i crank up on regulator and choke off with a metered valve on side of forge, that way as tank freezes or goes toward empty, i just open that one up a bit more for convenience.

Your handle material appears to be Bubinga, an African wood that is very hard (similar to cherry) and strikingly beautiful when properly finished. Bubinga has a lot of potential for chatoyance, which you can easily bring out by applying several coats of tung oil, allowing each coat to dry for several days before the next coat, and finishing with a high-quality lacquer or varnish. With enough oil soaked into the surface, the wood's appearance will change with the angle of the light source (the aforementioned "chatoyance") similar to a polished tiger eye stone.

I'll ignore your comment about Montana being the best ;) but the Bowie knife is named after Jim Bowie and it is pronounced Boo-ee.

I like the idea below about doing a brisket next. That sounds like a lot of fun!

Fun video guys! Nothing wrong with that chili either. If you like what you made then its a success in my books. I've also fallen in love with that style handle as well, it looks awesome.
I wonder if you gave that to Jason Knight or J Neilson, or even Ben Abbott and had them beat the tar out of it, would it break or would it survive? Those guys are absolutely brutal on the knives they are presented on the show.
