Fake Makita Impact Better? Let's find out! Makita XWT11Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless

27 121

Fake Makita impact wrench compared against genuine Makita XWT11Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 3-Speed 1/2" Sq. Drive Impact Wrench. The knock off Makita claims to produce more torque compared to the Makita XWT11Z. So does it? Both tools tested for maximum torque capability, RPM in each gear, durability, and working speed test. Both impact wrenches disassembled and internal parts compared for quality and durability. Please let me know if you'd like to see other brands tested, such as DeWalt, Milwaukee, Earthquake, Bauer, Ryobi, etc.
I could use your help. If you'd like to help me decide on which products to test, please consider subscribing to the channel (it's free). I occasionally ask viewers to vote on products to test and NOburn only includes those subscribed to the channel in the opportunity to vote. noburn.info/post/2rzsm1Qi6N1X-wuOg_p0Ng.html

I’ve had a lot of requests for this one, and sorry it’s taken me so long. Please let me know which specific models of impact tools you'd like compared in the future. I'm ready to begin testing them if there's enough interest. I have some additional test to include in the next showdown too. Thanks to everyone for helping support the videos through your generous Patreon support. https://www.patreon.com/projectfarm. I look forward to reading your comments and video ideas. Thanks again!

Wouldn't changing the diameter of the end your measuring also throw off the results of the speed measurement? Might be neglible but a larger diameter sockets would spin slower then the motor shaft. Might be note worthy to keep socket diameter to a minimal. Much like throwing larger wheels on a car would impact your speedometer to be faster. Something to keep in mind.

Lower amps under no load conditions are a good thing in my book. Not important in the grand scale of things but it suggests that cousin eddy has less internal friction.

Learn about the auto stop function before saying it’s going to spin the nut off the bolt by over rotations. It’s smart revise so it needs a load not just pulling the trigger in the bench. So your test the specs under no load and just spinning in the air not even a socket on it
For some drag weight. Your testing does not give a useful information.

Awesome video, thank you for this review! I always wondered if these knockoff tools are worth it. Personally I have the smaller (I think 3/8", while the one you tested is 1/2"?) Makita impact driver as well as the matching drill and they are both awesome tools & my go to drill and driver for pretty much everything. I mostly do handy man/home repair type work but occasionally need to bolt anchors into concrete or do some other high-torque work and am always happy with the performance of the Makita drivers.

That's the reason why companies should stop making their products in china. They freaking stole the design and everything and sell at cheaper. It's same with every single product that's made in china and the Chinese the blatantly copies it. There's no doubt the sales of cousin Eddie will be much higher.

$30 seems cheap because we have been conditioned by tool manufacturers to think it should cost a lot to get a quality tool. No doubt better brand tools perform and last longer but don’t try to convince me the R&D drives the cost. The tools should be cheaper because they rape us on batteries. 1 to 4 hundred dollhairs for batteries is ridiculous. Don’t tell me parts drive cost.
C Wilks
C Wilks - 2 dager siden
Han Wagu All of the big brand tools are made by a few manufacturers. They don’t have different levels of liability for each tool. Even with all the bells and whistles, costs are high. How about don’t change the look ever couple years and bring the price down.
Han Wagu
Han Wagu - 2 dager siden
it's not just R&D, it's also liability, design, materials, etc. Go try and sue cousin eddy if and when the thing fries out in your hand. This comparison PF did is a false comparison example: Cousin eddy does not perform as well, has different design, is unsafe, and most importantly uses an Authentic Makita battery and charger, since it does not come with one at all. Since the electrics inside have zero overload or circuit protection, you are more than likely going to be complaining about how Makita batteries are bad because you used it with cousin eddy. PF did not highlight the Makita has a third rail on its battery receptacle, which is for overload protection, which eddy does not. PF talked about bumpers, which was disappointing. Just because something is similar blue and black color scheme and is sold cheaply for use with Makita battery, should not make it a fake makita and makita comparison.
